Strategic plan of the organization
The strategic planning process was built on arrange of internal and external member and stakeholder evaluations and contextual developments in the past few years (in particular changes to the operating environment and international engagement within Somalia.
It has alsocoincided with significant political changes in Somalia including the establishment of a government deemed more representative and the commencement of the‘New budget year for Somalia 2021’which was present an opportunity for better engagement and improved working relations with the Somalia national government, international donors and the UN to ensur eco herence between humanitarian interventions and longer-term development strategies.
The strategy also draws on arange of reflections and evaluations that have been completed since 2022.
This strategy will enable the Shiekh Hashi Foundation to strengthen and broaden its constituency and promote the voice and capacity of our NGO, both national and international, providing an avenue for agencies to continue with humanitarian and development assistance, build national and local capacity,and increase effectiveness and accountability in the delivery of humanitarian and development assistance.
Over the coming years, the Organization will place optimum capacity and initiative inside Somalia through its support for locally based focal points,utilizing and supporting their networks for wider information exchange, policy, and advocacy efforts.
An on going dialogue with regard to moving the administrative head quarters of the Organization from Mogadishu, Banadir region to the related regions will be maintained cognoscenti of the developing political and security context.
